Opportunities to License SSC Technology

The Innovative Partnerships Program (IPP) provides Intellectual Property Management for Stennis Space Center (SSC). Some technologies developed at Stennis Space Center are available for licensing.

SSC has the following technologies available for license:

If you are interested in finding technologies developed at other NASA Centers, you can visit the NASA Technology Tracking System, TechFinder, which is designed to give the public easy access to the most current information about technologies developed by NASA. You may also visit the other NASA Field Centers public Web Pages for licensing opportunities.

How to Apply for a License
NASA has the authority to grant licenses on its domestic and foreign patents and patent applications pursuant to 35 U.S.C 207-209. This authority has been implemented by means of "Licensing of Government Owned Inventions," 37 C.F.R. 404.1 et seg. A party interested in licensing a NASA technology should submit a Patent License Application.

All NASA licenses are individually negotiated with the prospective licensee, and each license contains terms concerning commercialization (practical application), license duration, royalties, and periodic reporting. NASA patent licenses may be exclusive, partially exclusive, or non-exclusive.

Stennis currently has several technologies under License Agreements.

Applications for License of a Stennis Patent(s) should be addressed to:
