Cooperative Agreement Notice - Dual Use Technology at Stennis Space Center

The Cooperative Agreement Notice (CAN) Dual Use Technology Development at Stennis Space Center (SSC) seeks potential partners in the development of new technologies to meet specific technology needs of NASA at SSC through technology partnerships.
The agreement notice solicits unique, mutually beneficial technology development proposals from potential American industry and academic partners outside government, targeting specific technology areas that align with Stennis Space Center's current technology focus and strategic business endeavors.
Its purpose is twofold: furthering development of Rocket Propulsion Test related technologies, and enhancing SSC's position as a critical industry partner and resource
To minimize unnecessary proposal efforts on the part of proposers, the partnership selection is a two-step process that consists of the submission of an initial Notice of Intent (NOI) to see if the proposed technology development concept appears to meet the needs at SSC. For the technology concepts selected among all submitted NOIs, a request for a full proposal will follow.
Under this notice, NASA will award Cooperative Agreements in accordance with the applicable sections of the NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Manual.
The NASA Grant and Cooperative Agreement Manual is available on-line here.
Cooperative Agreement Notice
Under a Cooperative Agreement, the funding agency will have substantial involvement in, and contribution to, the technical aspects of the effort.
Cooperative Agreements differ from grant programs where there is no substantial involvement of the funding agency in monitoring the work or research program. This type of notice also allows contact with the potential subject matter experts at Stennis Space Center during the CAN open period subject to the limitations set forth in the Handbook. Particular attention is directed to Section D, ยง1274.203(f).
The agreements officer for this notice is Gerald Norris, gerald.l.norris@nasa.gov and his authorized representative is Melissa R. Wagner, melissa.r.wagner@nasa.gov.
